Why do you do what you do?

As a leader, you have internal drives that move your needle and propel you into action.

The most basic of these drives is the “Material Drive” which gives you a push to get by and do a good enough job that provides the simple necessities. A lot of people start out at this level, and some never make it past this stage.

The second type of drives common in achievers is the “Motivational Drive.” Leaders at this level enjoy doing things that they like and are interested in. Lucky folks.

At the third level, we find the exceptional leaders who are moved by the “Meaning Drive” for fulfillment. Leaders who perform on this level are at their best when there is meaningful contribution that align with their deep consciousness. That combination creates extraordinary results that serve others and add value.

That’s what transformative Leadership is all about to me. To lead is to serve and uplift others, creating value for people you connect with. Leadership mastery happens when you boldly step fully into who you truly are so that you can inspire others around you. And at the end of the day, leaving the world better than when you entered it.

The “Meaning Drive” is my accelerator. I like to teach, to share ideas, to inspire. I like to think, organize and articulate thoughts into creative expressions. I’m great at seeing both the big picture and the little details; strategizing, mapping out plans. I love to talk, to have great discussions, and I enjoy the public speaking spotlight.

And most of all, I like to help people find what they need.
